With every new technology breakthrough aimed at making life better for consumers, there exists the have and have nots.. In 2000 41.5% of households had internet access. By 2020 that number had grown to 85.5% (Statista 2023). Still roughly 14% of households have little or no access to the internet, leaving especially children lacking acess to education, commerce, social media and communitcation, just to name a few essentials to have equal opportunities. This is called the "Digital Divide". One of the main contributing sources to the divide is economics.. And this is where Xfinity comes in.
