I recently ran across this EdTech tool for the classroom. Tools don't have to be apps or software. They can be hardware items designed for learning and teaching....based on new technology. For the classroom, there is the Learnometer, by Gratnell. It was designed by a teacher, Professor Stephen Heppell (read more about him here.) Professor Heppell had the student's comfort in mind when he designed this device. What this device does is to measure the learning environment to make sure students learn in a comfortable and safe environment while in the classroom. The device measures and monitors Carbon Dioxide levels, fine dust particles in the air, ambient noise, temperature and humidity, lighting, and any chemicals in the air. "How healthy is your classroom?" Professor Heppell asks.
